Forecast and calendar
See where your balance is heading over 30, 60 or 90 days, spot the lowest point ahead, and browse your spending day by day in the calendar.
The forecast looks ahead: it starts from today’s balance and adds your recurring income and bills to show where your money is heading. The calendar looks back: what you spent, day by day.
On the Dashboard, tap Forecast (in the row with Goals and Debts).
At the top, choose 30 days, 60 days or 90 days.
Read the card: LOWEST BALANCE is the lowest point your total balance reaches in that period, with its date. Below it, Today and In 30 days (or 60, 90) give the balance now and at the end.
The chart draws the balance day by day. The dashed line marks zero.
Under What moves it, each recurring item and dated debt in the period is listed with its date and amount.
What the forecast includes
- The starting point: the total balance of your accounts (archived ones left out).
- Your recurring income and bills, on each of their due dates. See Recurring bills and income.
- Open debts with a due date, for the amount still left. See Track debts and repayments.
Day-to-day spending that isn’t set up as recurring (groceries, going out) is not projected. The real line will usually sit lower than the forecast, so leave yourself some room above the lowest point.
If the lowest balance is below zero, it is shown in a warning colour: a sign that a bill may land before the money it needs.
The calendar
- On the Dashboard, tap the month name at the top (it has a small calendar icon). The Calendar opens on that month.
- Each day shows what you spent that day; the darker the square, the bigger the spending. The total is at the top, next to Spent this month.
- Tap a day to list its transactions below the grid, with what you spent and received that day.
- Tap a transaction to edit it. Use the arrows to change month.
The calendar also opens from the month name on the Budget tab. Transfers between your accounts are not counted as spending.
If your spending bunches up on certain days, weekends for example, the calendar makes them easy to spot.
